Coffee Stains Can Be Sneaky Stains

Not all stains are as simple as they look. Sometimes what appears to be a single stain is actually made up of several different substances, which means it requires more than one cleaning treatment.

Coffee is a great example. While coffee itself creates a tannin stain, many people add milk, cream, sugar, or other ingredients. Milk leaves behind a protein-based stain, so a coffee spill with cream or milk is actually a combination of different types of stains.

Because each part of the stain responds to different cleaning methods, our team may need to treat each one separately to achieve the best possible results.

If you're bringing in a garment with a coffee stain, let our customer service representative know how you take your coffee, whether it's black, with cream, with milk, or with sugar. That small detail can help us choose the most effective cleaning process and improve the chances of complete stain removal.
